Life has turning points that deserve to be recognised. Some are joyful beginnings; others involve commitment, change, farewell or loss. A ceremony gives us space to stop, gather the people who matter and acknowledge the road travelled—and the road that lies ahead.

Rev’d Daniel Harris can offer weddings, vow renewals, naming ceremonies, funerals and celebrations of life. Each ceremony is shaped with care around the people involved. It can include familiar Christian words and traditions or take a simpler, more informal form. You do not need to be a regular churchgoer or have settled beliefs. What matters is creating an occasion that feels honest, meaningful and true to you.

Daniel’s role is to listen, ask helpful questions and walk through the preparations with you. He will talk about the people, memories, relationships and hopes at the heart of the occasion. From there, he will help bring together words, music, readings, stories and moments of reflection that belong naturally within your ceremony.

Daniel has a particular connection with the motorcycle and alternative scenes. He understands that a conventional ceremony — or a conventional minister — may not feel right for everyone. Leathers, motorcycles, rock music, unusual venues and a different way of doing things are not problems to work around. Instead, they can be an authentic part of the story we are marking.

A meaningful occasion need not be an expensive one. Weddings can take place in one of the registered churches connected with his ministry, and he is happy to help couples explore simple and affordable possibilities. Vow renewals, naming ceremonies, funerals and celebrations of life can take place in a wider variety of settings.

Daniel holds a Durham University BA (Hons) in Theology, Ministry and Mission, studied through Westminster College, Cambridge. He is currently completing an MA in Theology, Ministry and Mission with Church Mission Society in Oxford (finishing 2027).
